Dave Bautista is no stranger to comic book movies, having already carved out a name for himself as Drax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After expressing interest in a couple of DC roles through casual online conversation, the actor has now revealed he passed on a DC solo role due to scheduling conflicts. The former WWE star has showed interest in playing Bane in the past and he is toying around with the idea of taking on the role of Clayface following interactions on Twitter. However, he admitted he is not going to pass up a DC opportunity again, especially as feels like Drax is going to remain nothing more than a secondary character under Marvel Studios.RELATED: The Batman: Dave Bautista Is Ready to Play Bane"Point is I freaking love comic book characters and I want a stand alone," he tweeted. "Marvel Studios doesn't see worth in Drax or possibly myself or both but I'm not giving up. He didn't specify the role, but it's clear he regrets passing on it now that he sees Drax as a bit-part player, not just in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies but in the entire MCU. That could change, as the future of the MCU is moving in a cosmic direction with The Eternals. Until then, all we can do is wonder which character he passed on and if he could end up working with James Gunn again on The Suicide Squad, especially after his lead roles in My Spy and Stuber.
