WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War.

Dave Bautista is the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe star to confirm he'll return for Avengers 4 and beyond.

In Marvel's blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos gathers the six Infinity Stones and, with a snap of his fingers, wipes out half of life in the universe, including Bautista's Drax the Destroyer. Now, the Guardians of the Galaxy star has confirmed that Drax's untimely death won't be one of those permanent cast departures dreaded by fans.

Speaking to Collider while promoting Hotel Artemis, Bautista confirmed he will reprise his role as Drax for Avengers 4 and James Gunn's planned Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Reflecting on Drax's death, he said, "I got a lot of texts saying, 'I can't believe you're dead, your character is dead. They were really like heartbroken and I was like 'I'm gonna be in [Avengers] 4. I'm gonna be in Guardians 3.'"

Marvel Studios has a strict policy against actors revealing spoilers, so Bautista may be in the bad books for dropping a bombshell like that. However, while fans now know Drax is back, Bautista insists he doesn't know how it happens.

"I don't know how they're bringing me back," he said. "Yeah, but somehow I'm going to make it because, as far as I know, I am going to be in Guardians 3, so I have to be back."

Infinity War ended with a culling of some of the MCU's biggest heroes, waving goodbye to major names like Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther, Tom Holland's Spider-Man and most of the Guardians.
