A Jedi Master or Sith Lord might use the Force  to levitate themselves, but this weekend, they'll just need a little hot air.

The 33rd annual New Jersey Festival of Ballooning is under way, and this year's special balloon designs include a pair of Star Wars-themed entries, with Yoda and Darth Vader vying for bragging rights as the show's most popular.

Boasting a lineup of balloons from "22 states, 4 countries, and 1 Galaxy far, far away," the festival also has promises musical guests, plenty of carnival food and perhaps best of all, the Cannon Lady.

The festival, which also features a balloon shaped like a dinosaur hatching from an egg, a blue whale and a Pepsi-branded football, runs through Sunday at Solberg Airport in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey. Tickets are $15-$35 at the door. A balloon ride will set you back $225-250.

And if you're not able to make it to Jersey, don't worry -- the fan-commissioned Darth Vader balloon (which has the full blessing of Lucasfilm behind it!) will be making more stops around the country. You can find out if it's coming to your area via its official website.
