In a little less than a month, fans will be able to sink their teeth (and eyeballs) into a brand new “Star Wars” film when “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” blasts into theaters. In the film, we’ll be presented with the Empire at it’s most powerful, as a small band of rebels come together to try and take it down.
As part of Entertainment Weekly’s ongoing coverage of “Rogue One” (leading up to a cover story on December 16), some new promo images have been released. In them, we see some never-before-seen characters and get some details about where they come from.
In one particular image, we see Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones), the main character of “Rogue One,” and a key piece of the Rebels. Here, she is seen giving a briefing for some sort of attack. Surrounding her are previously unknown characters; in the red/grey is Senator Jebel (Jonathan Arias), Senator Vaspar (Fares Fares) in blue, and Senator Pamlo (Sharon Duncan-Brewster).
Of course, everyone’s favorite villain is featured in the gallery, and he’s back in all his glorious form — that would be, of course, Darth Vader (who will be voiced by James Earl Jones yet again). In this film, special weapons director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn) will be someone that Vader has to deal with, as they quarrel over the effectiveness of the Death Star the Empire is building.
You can take a look at the full gallery of images below, and prepare for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” to drop on December 16.
