Ichigo is one of the most hotly debated characters in Darling in the Franxx. This is because of her rocky relationship with 002 and her love for Hiro. Ichigo is often shown as being cold towards 002 or trying to force Hiro to fall in love with her. Despite her flaws, though, many fans have come to terms with just how misguided the young girl is. Despite her inappropriate actions, the show makes it clear that Ichigo, along with the rest of the class, was never taught about love. If you are a fan of Ichigo, though, then there are a ton of fun facts you should know about the character.

10 Ichigo Loves Cats

One of the most surprising things to note about Ichigo is just how much she loves spending time with cats. It's a cannon personality trait, and it is stated that when Ichigo isn't working or worrying over Hiro, she can often be found spending time with her cats.

Cats may be one of the few comforts for Ichigo, especially as she is fighting with 002.

9 She Sleeps With Stuffed Animals

Despite her tough exterior, Ichigo has to sleep with stuffed animals at night. This fact is revealed by Goro and is a trait that Ichigo has had for a long time. It's a bit strange to think about since Ichigo seems the least likely to cuddle with a giant bear.

This is another small glimpse into her softer side and a reminder that the parasites are still kids.

8 Her Annual Present is Stuffed Animals

She doesn't just have a couple of stuffed animals that she keeps on her bed. Each year the parasites get an annual gift, and it is revealed that Ichigo always requests to have more stuffed animals. Since she is 15 in the show, fans guess that this means she has a pile of them.

While it isn't shown, Ichigo likely has an offscreen horde of stuffed animals in her room.

7 Ichigo Can Swim

Ichigo is revealed to enjoy swimming and be incredibly good at it. This is shown a little bit in the beach episode, but otherwise, fans aren't able to see Ichigo using her aquatic skills since the group only battles using giant robots.

It's safe to say that she probably spends a fair portion of time swimming when not in battle.

6 She Loves Her Hair Clip

Aside from cherishing stuffed animals, Ichigo's second favorite gift is her hair clip and is a representation of the natural progression of her feeling towards Hiro and Goro. As Ichigo starts to let go of Hiro, she loses the hair clip that he gave her.

She replaces that hair clip with the one Goro gifted her, representing that she is starting to move on.

5 Her Voice Actress Married Hiro

A cute note to make for fans of Hiro and Ichigo is that their English voice actors are actually married in real life. While the show may not have turned out the same way, it's nice to know that the voice actors are connected, which probably helped to give the dub it's amazing performance.

While the two will never get together in the series, at least the real-life Ichigo and Hiro found love.

4 Ichigo May Have Always Loved Goro

Despite the huge fixation on Hiro, tons of trivia about the show seems to prove that Ichigo always loved Goro. While this love wasn't as deep as the connection she felt for Hiro; it was enough to keep Goro from giving up over the years.

It is heavily implied that Ichigo trusted Goro with more than the show lets on.

3 Her Manga Ending is Different

The manga ending for Ichigo is actually quite different from that of the anime. It is not proven that Ichigo ended up with Goro in the manga, although fans do know that she eventually got married and had a child with someone.

Ichigo also seemed to be a bit less close with Goro during the manga, and many fans prefer the anime ending because of this.

2 She is Short

Ichigo is actually the shortest member on her team, although it doesn't affect how well she does in battle. The rest of her team doesn't really seem to take notice of her short stature, and the information can be found in official descriptions from the show.

When all of the squad stand next to each other, you can also tell that Ichigo is the shortest one on the team.

1 Calmer in the Manga

Ichigo is actually portrayed in a much better light in the manga. Instead of hating 002 for no reason, many of the fights are timed differently to make more sense. Ichigo also becomes accepting of Hiro and 002s relationship much earlier on, and the two don't end up fighting as much.

This is likely due to all the backlash towards Ichigo. The manga wanted to show her as carrying instead of just acting on her own jealousy.
