DC Comics is teasing a romance between the Ruler of Apokolips and the Princess of Themyscira within the pages of Justice League Infinity.

Written by J.M. DeMatteis and James Tucker and illustrated by Ethen Beavers, Justice League Infinity #4 is slated to hit comic shops on Tuesday, Oct. 5. The issue's cover art, drawn by Tucker, sees none other than Darkseid sharing a kiss with Wonder Woman. Set within the DC Animated Universe, Justice League Infinity is a seven-part limited series that serves as a follow-up to the 2004-2006 Cartoon Network animated series Justice League Unlimited, which was itself a sequel to the network's 2001-2004 Justice League series.

"After being whisked across the Multiverse, Wonder Woman finds herself trapped on a desolate and barren planet with the last person she'd ever expect to find: Darkseid!" The official synopsis for Justice League Infinity #4 reads. "What does the former ruler of Apokolips want with the Amazonian warrior? And what lurks in the shadows of this devasted [sic] world?"
