Cinematic universes are all the rage these days, and Stephen King's world of horror is no exception. A new trailer for The Dark Tower reveals the interconnectedness of King's works. All of King's books are linked through the Dark Tower series, which draws together characters and elements from every book King has ever penned (and quite a few more besides).

Called the "Connected KINGdom" the trailer zooms through a number of famous settings from King's books, from The Shining's hotel to the sewer from It to Carrie's prom and the desolate world of The Stand. The Dark Tower ties King's books together into one big multiverse, where each floor of the Tower gives one access to each different world. According Idris Elba's Gunslinger, who narrates the trailer, "they all begin and end here."

The movie adaptation of The Dark Tower is a sequel to the book series. This trailer suggests, then, that every book, every movie and every television adaptation are all part of an extended Dark Tower universe.
