A new trailer for the next X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix, might be coming soon. The trailer received an official rating, which means that fans will get to see a little more of the movie before it hits theaters in June.

The seventh Dark Phoenix trailer's rating acceptance was made official on Feb. 25 and also indicates that the trailer will check in at 2:24.

This follows director Simon Kinberg revealing on Instagram that there would be something new for fans "real, real soon" when it comes to the next X-Men movie.

Dark Phoenix went through a rough year following the announcement of the Disney/Fox merger. Disney is expected to revamp the entire X-Men franchise, meaning Dark Phoenix might be the end of the two-decade-long X-Men franchise before Marvel reboots everything.

There is also the concern that The New Mutants, directed by Josh Boone, might not even get a theatrical release, although it is still scheduled to hit theaters on Aug. 2. Fan concern about the film's fate picked up again when actress Anya Taylor Joy seemed unsure about when it would be released.

With that said, Dark Phoenix is coming to theaters and a new trailer should be on the way soon.

The movie will attempt to rectify fan complaints concerning the last time Fox tried to tell the Dark Phoenix Saga in X-Men: The Last Stand. It is also the first movie in the history of the X-Men franchise that doesn't include Wolverine in some manner.

Starring Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jessica Chastain, Nicholas Hoult, Sophie Turner, Evan Peters, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp and Kodi Smit-McPhee, Dark Phoenix is scheduled for release June 7, 2019.
