While Dark Phoenix didn't feature quite as many Easter eggs as a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, it still featured a cameo from one fan-favorite Marvel mutant.

As the X-Men are celebrating a successful mission in space, Dazzler could briefly be seen using her light-generating powers to entertain the students of the Xavier Institute.

Even though Dazzler only appeared on screen for a few moments, actor Halston Sage gave fans a closer look at her character's comic-accurate make-up in a new BTS photo on her Instagram.

Although she was created by a group of Marvel staffers including Tom DeFalco and John Romita Jr, Dazzler debuted in Uncanny X-Men #130, in the middle of Chris Claremont and John Byrne's "Dark Phoenix Saga." In addition to begin a disco and pop music star, she possess the mutant power to convert sound into light energy, which she frequently uses in her performances. Off the stage, Alison Blaire has been a member of numerous X-Men teams.

Halston Sage is well-known for her former role as Lt. Alara Kitan on Fox's television series, The Orville. She has also appeared in 2015's Goosebumps and the recently released Netflix film, The Last Summer.

While Dazzler was briefly teased in X-Men: Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix marked the on-screen debut of the character. Since this is one of the last film's in 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise, it's unclear when we'll see Dazzler on the big screen again.

Despite that, Dazzler's future on the small screen is far more clear.

Dazzler will star in the upcoming animated Hulu series, Tigra and Dazzler. The series will see the two heroes try to make it big in Los Angeles and will be written by Erica Rivinoja and Chelsea Handler.

Directed and written by Simon Kinberg, Dark Phoenix stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Holt, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters and Jessica Chastain. The film is out in theaters now.
