A new batch of covers for Dark Nights: Death Metal #4 has been released. The covers feature Darkseid, Green Lantern and Wally West.The Darkseid cover is illustrated by David Finch and features the Lord of Apokolips with massive tusks protruding from his face. Meanwhile, the Wally West cover by Dough Mahnke features the speedster in the middle of a supersonic drum solo. Both Wally and Darkseid will feature prominently in Dark Nights: Death Metal. Wally is empowered by the energies of Doctor Manhattan, which could be used to reset the universe. The Darkest Knight seeks his power, which will be further explored in Dark Nights: Death Metal-Speed Metal #1. Darkseid will feature alongside the Anti-Monitor and Superboy-Prime in the Dark Nights: Death Metal-Trinity Crisis one-shot as their "Crisis Energy" is also necessary to restart the Multiverse.

Dark Nights: Death Metal features the heroes of the DC Universe racing to save their reality; meanwhile, the Batman Who Laughs has transformed into the Darkest Knight after having his brain implanted in the body of a Bruce Wayne gifted with Doctor Manhattan's powers, and seeks to tip the universe into darkness.
