WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Dark Nights: Death Metal #1 by Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo, Jonathan Glapion, FCO Plascencia and Tom Napolitano, on sale now.

A new variant cover for Dark Nights: Death Metal #2 more than lives up to the "death metal" part of its name. Doug Manhke illustrates Wonder Woman on a stage, her Lasso of Truth powered chainsaw in one hand and a massive guitar in the other. On the end of the guitar lies the skull of the Batman Who Laughs; Diana used her chainsaw to rend the villain into pieces toward the end of the first issue.

Mahnke had previously illustrated a variant cover for the first issue of Death Metal. That issue featured Batman shredding on on a scythe-shaped guitar, flanked by a pile of skulls.
