Hayley Atwell tells the Coventry Telegraph’s Geek Files that Peggy Carter will most likely not appear in the film. “I think I can say that quite safely now. I imagine filming has wrapped on that, so I haven’t been part of that project at all,” she says. Of course, she could still show up as Peggy (or her descendant) in “Captain America 2,” though she mentions she has not yet been approached for the sequel.

SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF STEEL
The Man of Steel Facebook Community uses the following image to debunk yesterday’s Bradley Cooper rumor:
Kurt Orzeck is an industry reporter with enough clout to offer a definitive word on this subject. Personally, I’d still like Clancy Brown to give Lex both a voice and a face.
Directed by Zack Snyder, release date: June 14th 2013
IGN has a new sixty second trailer for the film:
This has potential … it’ll be interesting to see if it can follow through.

SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK
After all the jokes, delays, and injuries, MTV News notes a press release which states the Spider-Man musical is a box office record holder. According to the release, it “rang in the New Year as the highest grossing show on Broadway, shattering the record for the highest single-week gross of any show in Broadway history. The total gross for the record-breaking week ending Sunday, January 1 was $2,941,790.20, besting the previous record of $2,228,235 set by Wicked in 2011.” Well, I guess I can only say “Bravo, Spider-Man. Bravo.”
Opened: June 14th, 2011 … at last!
THE BRITISH INVASION OF STAR TREK
Yesterday, we learned that British actors Noel Clarke and Benedict Cumberbatch have been tapped for roles in the upcoming “Star Trek” sequel. Cumberbatch, best known for his role in “Sherlock” will be a villain whilst Clarke will be a “family man.” If nothing it else, it means the movie will have a strong supporting roster and that’s a good thing. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of finding out I’ve been cast in “Star Trek 2.”
