DARK KNIGHT RISES
Comic Book Movie has confirmed a PG-13 rating for Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight Rises." The rating comes as a result of "intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language," which makes for a vague and unsurprising description. It looks like "Powers" may be starting from scratch. Actor Khary Payton, who played Cutter in the unaired pilot, spoke to CBR about the status of the comic adaptation.
"Unfortunately, we - all of the actors - got released," Payton told CBR. "They're literally starting over. They want to do it again. And fortunately and unfortunately, I'm doing another show, and I still hope beyond hope that I can be a part of 'Powers.' But I'm happy to be working. But things are happening with 'Powers' absolutely. There are scripts being turned out. They just want more material to hear that they're getting it right."
When reached for comment, a representative from FX mentioned the network was still dedicated to moving forward with the show.
"I won't comment on any of the actors contracts, but I'll tell you this project is not dead, and it is still to be determined if we'll move forward with reshoots on the pilot," said the representative. "There is currently no timetable on when to move forward."

Last week, the Official ElfQuest Facebook Page posted an intriguing message, stating, "For the first time in months, the agents of hope have shown their pretty elfin faces again. Stay tuned!" When reached for comment by Comic Book Movie, an unnamed source clarified the remarks as relates to a status update on the "ElfQuest" film adaptation, which Warner Bros. decided not to green light.
"I think there's all the chance in the world -- but I'll ask for a bit of patience, because now that Warner Bros. has declined to green-light Elfquest, we're exploring a few new paths," the source told CBM. "Soon as we have something to announce, you'll certainly see it here -- and then will be the time bang the drum!"
