Dark Knight Rises Filming Wraps as Prologue Description Surfaces

According to Joseph Gordon Levitt, filming has wrapped on The Dark Knight Rises, the conclusion of director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. The actor, who plays Gotham City Police Officer John Blake, wrote Monday on his blog, "Picture wrap. #TDKR" and posted the above photo of himself wearing a Batman hat.

In other Dark Knight Rises news, ComicBookMovie.com claims to have scored a description of the much-discussed prologue of the film attached to 70mm IMAX prints of Paramount's Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol. Take note that this description was originally posted on IMDb by a guy whose screen name Llortamaisey is "yes I am a troll" spelled backward. The following paragraph is spoiler-heavy, so be warned.

Essentially, the description of the prologue says it starts with Batman being chased by cops directly following the events of Dark Knight. He pulls into a tunnel where a truck causes him to wreck the Batpod. Said truck not only has Bane, who has been watching Batman for a while, but also a group of henchmen who trap the wounded hero. Batman tries to escape, but Bane follows menacingly, even calling him by his real name! The ensuing chase is completely one-sided and brutal as Bane knocks Batman around, finishing him off with Bane's signature back-breaking move.

If this turns out to be true, it should make for one heck of an opening to the story.

The Dark Knight Rises, which opens July 20, 2012, also stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard and Morgan Freeman.
