Dark Knight Rises Debuts Trailer During MTV Movie Awards

During last night's MTV Movie Awards, Christopher Nolan Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt introduced a new 90-second clip for The Dark Knight Rises containing plenty of new footage, including an extended exchange between Anne Hathaway's Selina Kyle and Gordon-Levitt's John Blake.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer was preceded by a retrospective that traced the history of Batman through Nolan's three films. Images of Heath Ledger as The Joker in The Dark Knight triggered an emotional response from Bale, who said, with his voice quivering, "It's great to remember Heath."

Opening July 20, the conclusion of Nolan’s movie trilogy stars Christian Bale as Batman, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Tom Hardy as Bane, Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake, Michael Caine as Alfred, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.

UPDATE: The video has been removed at the request of Warner Bros.
