Dark Horse to chronicle 'Warcraft' mythology in new books

Dark Horse will explore the history and mythology of Azeroth, the setting of Blizzard Entertainment's blockbuster video game franchise, in World of Warcraft: Chronicle.

Debuting in November, the multi-volume series is described as a "definitive tome of Warcraft history" that "reveals untold stories about the birth of the cosmos, the rise of ancient empires, and the forces that shaped the world of Azeroth and its people.

"The hardcover first volume will include more than 20 full-page illustrations by World of Warcraft concept artist Peter Lee.

“We often get questions from players who want to know more about the origins of the Warcraft universe, and the rise and fall of their favorite characters” Blizzard COO Paul Sams said in a statement. “This new series digs deeply into all of that — we can’t wait for players to read it.”
