For some children of the early 1980s, the minicomics packed into "Masters of the Universe" action figures were among the first comic books they encountered. They also were an early showcase for several notable industry names, including Steven Grant and Bruce Timm.

Dark Horse Comics is set to reprint those comics -- a whole lot of them -- in the freshly announced "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Minicomic Collection" hardcover, scheduled for release on Oct. 21 in comic shops, and Nov. 3 in bookstores. The book is said to clock in at 1,232 pages, reprinting 68 minicomics from a variety of eras, including the original '80s toys, the "Princess of Power" line that starred She-Ra, the '90s He-Man toys and the current "Masters of the Universe Classic."
