Official Press Release

Dark Horse Comics is introducing a new contest designed to bring fresh talent to the comics industry via the Internet. Beginning May 1, 2002 and continuing for a year, the Dark Horse Strip Search contest will accept submissions for review. Each month, four submissions will be posted on line at www.darkhorse.com. Visitors to the Dark Horse web site will be able to vote for their favorite, and each monthly winner will receive a Dark Horse prize package. Of the 12 monthly winners throughout the course of the year, one will be chosen by the Dark Horse editorial staff as the Grand Prize Winner and receive $1000! In addition, every story posted on the web site will be eligible for publication in a printed anthology, The Best of Strip Search.
