Dark Horse Announces New "Conan" Series, Simone's Creator-Owned "Wonderfall"

Dark Horse Comics are set to make a number of announcements official at its presentation today at the ComicsPRO retailer meeting in the publisher's home turf, Portland. In addition to declaring June 4 Dark Horse Day, and revealing the first details -- along with a CBR-exclusive first look -- about the next "Avatar: The Last Airbender" graphic novel series, the publisher had a few other surprises.

Dark Horse's latest Conan series, "Conan the Slayer," will debut in July. The title is written by Cullen Bunn with art by Sergio Dávila and covers by Lee Bermejo. The first issue will feature a variant cover by Mark Schultz.

WONDERFALL is an epic fantasy, featuring­ the adventures of Yala, a young girl with powers even she isn't fully aware of,­ against the nightmarish forces that threaten her home and family.

It's a book of monsters, courage, and adventure as one young girl and her collection of oddball allies (and two goofy greyhounds!) go up against an insurmountable dark army of creatures from inside the Earth's crust.

Beautifully drawn by Walter Geovani, this book is one that an entire family can ­share together and treasure.

Comics master Moebius' Edene Cycle returns to print in October, when the first volume is released in a deluxe hardcover format.
