Mark Strong, who portrayed Ordon in the Netflix original The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistancehas commented on the series' cancellation.

In an interview with Collider, Strong was asked about his reaction concerning The Dark Crystal's recent cancellation. He called it a family show because of its ability to fascinate children while also providing relatable storylines for the adults.

Strong confirmed that even if the show had been renewed for a second season, he would not have been involved, as his character Ordon was killed off. Because Ordon wouldn't return either way, the cancellation did not affect Strong himself; rather, he felt bad for the "huge fan base" that had hoped to see more.
