Dark Ages artist Iban Coello shared a sneak peek at the new costume worn by Peter Parker's daughter in the upcoming second issue of the post-apocalypse series.

May Parker can be seen swinging from trees in the preview shared on Twitter, wearing a blue and pink getup with her very own web-shooters and yelling in delight as she takes after her father. An aged Peter Park steps in to grab her while also offering a fatherly lecture about how yelling while web-swinging can make one an easy target.

May's outfit incorporates a hood -- similar to Gwen Stacy's look as Ghost-Spider -- as well as what appears to be a backpack, judging from concept art posted by Coello. She wears no mask, and her web-shooters appear to be larger and less technologically sleek than the small units formerly concealed in the gauntlets of her father during his more youthful days.

Dark Ages takes place in an alternate reality where a cosmic figure known as the Unmaker broke from its prison beneath the Earth's surface. A band of heroes led by Doctor Strange ventured underground to fight it but were largely eradicated. In his final moments, Strange opened a portal to a dimension where electricity could not function, and this obliterated the Unmaker. Unfortunately, the portal stayed open and knocked out all electricity on the planet, leaving the world in a literal "dark age."

Issue #1 ended in the aftermath of the Unmaker's destruction, with Peter Parker frantically searching in the ruins of New Jersey for Mary Jane and May. The two were unscathed thanks to baby May's spider strength, which helped the little girl hold a giant chunk of rock aloft to protect her mother and several civilians.

The issue then moved seven years into the future, where Peter Park explained that society had slowly learned to live in a less technologically advanced world. A number of threats await in this new era, however, including a group of former heroes -- including a symbiote-fused Miles Morales and a steampunk Iron Man -- seemingly allied with the evil Apocalypse.

Dark Ages' May Parker appears to be a combination of May "Mayday" Parker and Annie Parker, two different iterations of Peter Parker and Mary Jane's daughter. Mayday, the Spider-Girl of the '90s, is the couple's daughter from Earth-982, while Annie, who made her debut in the 2015 series Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, is from Earth-18119. Both versions of Peter's daughter inherited their father's courage and willingness to fight for good -- traits that it seems like Dark Ages' May will also carry on.

Dark Ages #2 goes on sale Oct. 6 from Marvel Comics.
