As fans are still reeling from the surprise announcement last week that Netflix's Daredevil has been cancelled, recent analytics reveal the Marvel Cinematic Universe series had remained a strong performer for the premium streaming service.

An independent study by Parrot Analytics revealed that through the end of last week, Daredevil was the fourth most in demand program on Netflix, with the metric measured by likes and adding the series to a list as opposed to actual viewings. The series received nearly 30 million positive, in demand responses over the course of last week alone, behind Narcos, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Stranger Things.

With news of the series' cancellation going public last Wednesday, this may have caused an increase in Daredevil's impressions last week but remains an impressive figure nonetheless.

The MCU series' writers and producers were all reportedly surprised by the cancellation after Season 3 received strong critical acclaim. With the latest analytics, it appears viewer demand was not a deciding factor in the cancellation.
