The Twitter account for "Marvel's Daredevil" has debuted a new image that may hold clues to the upcoming "Defenders" miniseries on Netflix.

A page from the New York Bulletin, the fictional tabloid newspaper for which Ben Ulrich worked, blares the headline "Punisher Punished: Ruthless Vigilante Captured." However, if we follow the tweets instruction to "Look closely, you never know what you'll see," our eyes are drawn to the lower-left of the page.

There we see the headline, "New Theories Shed Light on Lost City," likely a reference to the mystical K’un L’un, which appears on Earth only once every 10 years. It's there that orphaned Daniel Rand is trained in the martial arts and in the ways of the Iron Fist.

In Marvel Comics lore, K’un L’un is one of the Capital Cities of Heaven, alongside K'un-Zi, ruled over by the Crane Mother; the Kingdom of Spiders; Z'Gambo; Peng Lai, under which lives the serpent Xiang Yao; Tiger Island; Under City, ruled over by Dog Brother; and the Eighth City, a hellish realm that holds the evils of the world. Every 88 years, the Seven Capital Cities of Heaven occupy the same plain of existence, forming the Heart of Heaven. At this time the Immortal Weapon of each city fights to earn a place on the Earthly realm.

Of course, we're left to wonder whether the mention of "Lost City" is a mere nod to Iron Fist's origin, or something deeper, bringing together the Hand and the mysterious hole in the ground discovered in "Daredevil" Season Two -- which we know likely plays a role in "Marvel's The Defenders" -- with Danny Rand's backstory. It would certainly explain why Iron Fist is the one Defender who knows what's really going on.

The newspaper page also contains the headline "Gang Members Gathered For Questioning," which in the world of Marvel's Netflix heroes, could refer to any number of things.

Arriving this summer on Netflix, “Marvel’s The Defenders” stars Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Finn Jones as Iron Fist, Elodie Yung as Elektra, Sigourney Weaver as Alexandra, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker and Scott Glenn as Stick.
