After Hart of Dixie alum Wilson Bethel was added to Season 3 of Daredevil in what was called "a critical role,” a new report claims the actor will portray the mercenary villain Bullseye.

That Hashtag Show reports Bethel's character named "Steve," who is an FBI agent, will in fact be the skilled marksman and assassin on the Marvel Netflix series. The site goes on to speculate that Bethel's Bullseye could be an adaptation of the character from writer Jason Aaron's run on Punisher MAX, which changed Bulleye's real name from “Lester” or “Benjamin Pointdexter” to "Sheldon Pendergrass, a highly-skilled marksman and deadly hand-to-hand combatant."

Bethel is best known for his role as Wade Kinsella on the CW’s Hart of Dixie, which ran for four seasons. Since then, he has appeared on shows such as The Astronaut Wives Club, Blood & Oil, and How to Get Away with Murder. A character breakdown for his initial casting lead speculation that he'd be playing the original Sin-Eater.

The Defenders‘ closing scenes hinted that the third season of Daredevil could borrow elements from “Born Again,” the seminal story arc in which Kingpin learns Matt Murdock’s secret identity and systematically dismantles his life.
