Despite making his first appearance as a Spider-Man villain, Wilson Fisk (aka the Kingpin), has become the most iconic adversary in the Man Without Fear's rogues' gallery. Marvel's Daredevil did a great job creating a live-action version of the criminal mastermind, and there's sure to be even more of actor Vincent D'Onofrio's version of the violent villain in Season 3 of Daredevil, especially since the upcoming season is rumored to draw inspiration from Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli's Born Again storyline.

The Marvel-Netflix show has included plenty of other familiar faces from Daredevil's comic book world, like the Punisher, Elektra, the Owl, Gladiator, the Hand, Turk and there was even a nod to Stilt-Man. But Daredevil's second biggest foe, Bullseye, was nowhere to be found. Despite their lengthy and savage history in the pages of the comics, the bloodthirsty and accurate assassin has yet to appear in Marvel's Daredevil. Thankfully, it looks like that's going to change with Season 3, and Marvel's maniacal marksman could help make it the best season yet.

First and foremost, Bullseye's appearance means Daredevil Season 3 could potentially have the best action sequences yet in a Marvel-Netflix show. The psychotic fiend's uncanny ability to turn any object into a deadly weapon and throw it with stunning accuracy means there should be a spotlight on the Man Without Fear's impressive agility and reflexes. When Daredevil faced the Punisher, the harsh vigilante was holding back -- he had no desire to kill Daredevil, yet the hero from Hell's Kitchen still had an incredibly rough time fighting Frank Castle.

Daredevil won't have that luxury with Bullseye -- the adversary will more than likely be aiming to torment and then kill the hero, so Daredevil is going to have to keep on his toes the whole time. Daredevil Season 3 has the chance to drop our jaws by showing off the hero's swift moves and focusing on his radar sense, which was one of Season 1's highlights (see: the alleyway fight in the rain). The show has featured some great stunts, and now they have the potential to go even bigger as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen flips around the city and relies on his senses to narrowly avoid a seemingly endless barrage of deadly projectiles.

Bullseye's not just a threat at a distance, though. Bullseye and Daredevil have had some brutal brawls in the comics, including the two viciously strangling each other until the bad guy passed out first. When it comes to martial arts, Daredevil is more skilled than Bullseye, but the villain's sheer brutality and dirty tactics help make their fights visceral and intense. Marvel's Daredevil has proven it can unleash some thrilling melees with praiseworthy choreography, so gripping fights with Bullseye should take it to the next level. Whether they're squaring off at a distance or at arm's length, a Bullseye vs. Daredevil bout should be unforgettable in Daredevil Season 3 if handled properly. Maybe if we're lucky, Daredevil encountering Bullseye could be the best "hallway fight" yet.

Season 3 of Marvel's Daredevil has been called a "return to form." With Bullseye, there's a greater potential for a character-driven storyline instead of yet another "save the city" kind of storyline. Simply put, Bullseye isn't a very ambitious man -- he enjoys what he does and he does it well. He'll presumably be hired to go after either Matt Murdock or Daredevil -- likely by Wilson Fisk -- and the Man Without Fear's ability to thwart the assassin will just make Bullseye all the angrier and even more determined to finally take out his target. It's a storyline that has the potential to feel personal and emotional instead of driven by bigger events.

A conflict between Bullseye and Daredevil also has the chance to fully embrace the show's darker tone, putting an emphasis on Daredevil's moral code while pushing him further than ever before. Bullseye's the kind of villain who will kill anyone without hesitating for even a moment. While Kingpin has no problem with taking a life as well, he often needs a valid reason to get his hands bloody. With Bullseye, there's just no reasoning with him -- he's truly twisted and could become the show's most frightening villain yet. How will Bullseye taking innocent lives impact Daredevil's emotions? How far will he push Daredevil? Will the evil-doer even murder Karen Page, just like he did in the comics? It seems unlikely the show would kill Elektra again, but you never know.

The dark tone of this series means they don't have to hold back with Bullseye's role, and that spells major trouble for Daredevil, both physically and emotionally. When the dust settles after their conflict, could the show pull inspiration from Daredevil #191 before Kingpin emerges as the real threat? In that comic, Daredevil visits a hospitalized Bullseye to play a game of Russian Roulette with the helpless foe. There's so much compelling source material to draw from.

Bullseye has what it takes to push Daredevil to his limits -- which was a key part of Born Again -- and could make Season 3 the most emotional and action-packed storyline yet. When all is said and done, the deranged villain's defeat could pave the way for Kingpin's reemergence as the true villain behind all of Murdock's misfortune. Except, when Daredevil is finished with all of the trauma that Bullseye put him through, Kingpin may realized he would've been much safer in he stayed in prison instead of seeking revenge. Only time will tell how season 3 of Marvel's Daredevil will play out, but including Bullseye means it has the potential to be the best season yet.
