Following the cancellations of Iron Fist and Luke Cage, many fans are unsurprisingly concerned about which series on Marvel's Netflix slate might be next. However, Daredevil showrunner Erik Oleson hold on to hope that his series will be renewed for a fourth season.

The show that launched the Marvel/Netflix deal, Daredevil has been one of the more successful small-screen installments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it's still up to Netflix as to whether the series continues beyond the current third season. Still, Oleson looks forward to another 13 episodes.

"I can tell you that I’m very hopeful to go do a Season 4," he told Entertainment Weekly. "There has not yet been any kind of an official pick-up, but if there is, I’m very hopeful that I will be a part of it."

With a rich mythology and a multitude of stories to draw inspiration from, Daredevil has enough source material to use for a possible fourth season, especially with what the finale teases. Netflix has already ordered a third season of Jessica Jones, and a second season of The Punisher is now in production.

Now available on Netflix, Marvel’s Daredevil Season 3 stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Joanne Whalley as Sister Maggie, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter, Jay Ali as Rahul “Ray” Nadeem and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.
