Daredevil, Men in Black III, X-Men: First Class: Mar 16th Comic Reel

As we reported here at CBR yesterday, director David Slade has signed on to helm Fox's second shot at the character. Slade directed "30 Days of Night" and "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse." He was also rumored to be Sam Raimi's choice for a "Shadow" remake, but both men denied this. I guess Slade found a costumed character that he likes.

Directed by David Slade, release date: TBA

Alec Baldwin tells the Vulture that he's out of the picture. "I'm not doing that. I'm out of it," he says. "The schedule didn't work out." The film is currently on an extended hiatus as the script continues to be reworked.

Release date: May 25th, 2012

The Playlist spotted this rather effective Russian trailer for the film:

I can't decide if the editing is tighter or if the dubbed-in Russian voices give it extra heft. Meanwhile, Rose Byrne tells MTV News a little bit about Moira MacTaggert:

Release date: June 3rd, 2011

JoBlo.com has a few new photos from the film, including this one of the title character on a rather interesting post-apocalyptic bike:

Release date: May 13th, 2011

Continuing with the stills, here's a new one of Cap in captivity (via Superhero Movie News):

Starring Chris Evans, release date: July 22nd, 2011

On Location Vacations got a hold of the casting sheets for the April 30th shoot in New York. They're looking for upscale business types of all ethnicities. They're also looking for people to play secretaries and scientists. One interesting casting call is this: "SAG 18+ TO PORTRAY YOUNGER TEENAGE PUNKS AND GRAFFITI ARTISTS FOR FEATURED ROLES." I guess Spidey will confront a gang of toughs? Maybe Peter will be harassed by them before his transformation.

Release date: July 2nd, 2012

Our pals at Spinoff Online spotted this animated short inspired by the film:

Release date: March 25th, 2011

Spinoff also reports that the television project is not quite as dead as we all believed. According to Geoff Johns (via his Twitter account), "'The Sandman' is AWAKE! Psyched to be working with @neilhimself on developing one of the greatest series ever!" With Johns and creator Neil Gaiman now on board, it seems the project has changed a bit. Spinoff suggests the version being developed by "Supernatual" creator Eric Kripke was dropped in favor of a project shepherded by Gaiman. I'm inclined to agree and I hope it leads to a worthwhile series.

Airdate: TBA

Superhero Hype received a number of pictures from the Downtown Los Angeles shoot, including this one of Elizabeth Hurley -- as the villainous Veronica Cale -- exiting a limo:

They also link to this photo at WonderWomanTV revealing the logo being used during production:

I didn't intend to continue with the "Star Wars" theme, but the Internet provides another video in which the famous movie is used to shill for another product. In this case, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost don "costumes" to sell their new movie, "Paul."

Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of my own sock puppet parody of the "Star Wars Holiday Special."
