Marvel announced "Devil's Reign," a Daredevil event teasing the Kingpin versus the rest of the Marvel Universe, as one of its upcoming major storylines hitting comic shops in December.

Written by Chip Zdarsky with art by Marco Checchetto, "Devil's Reign" sees Wilson Fisk -- also known as the Kingpin and current mayor of New York City -- outlawing superheroes in New York and revealing intel on their secrets. Fisk also plans to pit his Thunderbolt agents against not only Daredevil, but also a variety of other heroes, including the likes of Elektra, Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four.

"Devil's Reign" picks up the threads in a short story within the Free Comic Book Day: Spider-Man/Venom #1 special. Written by Chip Zdarsky with art by Greg Smallwood, the teaser showed Jessica Jones investigating the deaths of several private detectives. The finale of the story hinted that Fisk was behind the deaths, and showed the Kingpin suffering from a violent vision and threatening to unleash his anger against Marvel's street-level heroes and beyond.

Fisk is slated to marry Typhoid Mary in Daredevil #36, which is set to release on Nov. 17. How this union will affect both Matt Murdock, who is behind bars, and Elektra Natchios -- the current hero of hell's Kitchen -- remains to be seen.
