Despite the future of Marvel's Daredevil currently up in the air at Netflix (especially following the cancellations of Luke Cage and Iron Fist), the stars of the hit series are still hopeful that it will be renewed for a fourth season.

In an interview with The Wrap, Deborah Ann Woll, who plays Karen Page, shared some ideas for her character that could be implemented if the show continues on.

"I don't get to work with women a lot on this series," Woll admitted. "I think it would be really wonderful to have another female character come in that specifically Karen could work side-by-side with."

Karen Page has been Daredevil's female lead throughout its three seasons. The show has featured plenty of other prominent female characters, such as Claire Temple, Elektra Natchios and Sister Maggie. However, such characters are typically kept at arm's length from Karen, save for the occasional brief run-in. With that in mind, it's not hard to see why Woll believes Karen could benefit some female bonding in the future.

Woll likely also believes that making such a connection would be the natural next step for Karen's character. After all, elsewhere in the interview she explained, "Karen's always been sort of a lonely figure... I think Karen thinks that because of her past and the things she's done she probably doesn't deserve a lasting relationship."

Now available on Netflix, Marvel’s Daredevil Season 3 stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Joanne Whalley as Sister Maggie, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter, Jay Ali as Rahul “Ray” Nadeem and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.
