During New York Comic Con 2019, Marvel Comics honored the life of Stan "The Man" Lee at not one, but two panels. One of these panels -- the "Excelsior! Remembering Stan Lee" panel -- took place on Saturday. The tribute -- which was taped and will air on television at some point in the near future -- featured an appearance by none other than Daredevil star Charlie Cox.Cox was on hand to warm up the crowd for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Clark Gregg, the host of the event. However, Cox later returned to the stage sporting a rather familiar look. An image posted to the Instagram story of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Ming-Na Wen sees Cox wearing red circular sunglasses with his suit, effectively mirroring the outfit frequently worn by his Marvel character, Matt Murdock - the blind lawyer from Hell's Kitchen who moonlights as the vigilante Daredevil.RELATED: Robert Downey Jr. Tells a Story About Filming Stan Lee's 'Tony Stank' SceneCox's Daredevil co-star Vincent D'Onofrio -- who played main antagonist Wilson Fisk/Kingpin -- was also in attendance to celebrate Lee's life. According to D'Onofrio, Gregg managed to get a "save Daredevil" in during his time on stage.

Cox starred as Matt Murdock in all three seasons of Netflix's Daredevil, as well as in The Defenders crossover miniseries. However, the character's on-screen future is currently uncertain, following the cancellation of Netflix's entire Marvel lineup. In the wake of Daredevil's cancellation, fans and stars of the show alike have voiced their desire for a revival/continuation.

Of course, the character of Matt Murdock was one of the many co-creations of the man of the hour himself, Stan Lee. The Man Without fear was the brainchild of Lee and artist Bill Everett, with the character making his debut in 1964's Daredevil #1. Cox would don the Daredevil moniker on television from 2015 to 2018. He is the third person to play the character in live-action, following Rex Smith (The Trail of the Incredible Hulk) and Ben Affleck (2003's Daredevil).

Everett passed away in 1973 at the age of 55. Lee passed away this past November at the age of 95.
