Since Netflix cancelled Daredevil last November, a #SaveDaredevil petition has been launched with support from the Man Without Fear himself Charlie Cox. Despite the cancellation, Cox is still optimistic about reprising the role in the future.
"I certainly wouldn't want to play another superhero anytime soon," Cox told CNET. "I still feel part of Matt Murdock. That sounds like a really wacky thing to say, but I've been playing him for five years and I haven't rid myself of that character yet."
Regarding Daredevil's future, Cox has only heard the same internet gossip that everybody else knows, but he remains hopeful. " I don't know what conversations are behind the scenes at Marvel, but in a few years if another opportunity comes up with Marvel or whoever, I'd love to be considered. I live in hope because I loved the character and I loved the job."
Now available on Netflix, Marvel’s Daredevil Season 3 stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Joanne Whalley as Sister Maggie, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter, Jay Ali as Rahul “Ray” Nadeem and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.
