Charlie Cox is being very cautious when discussing Daredevil in the hopes that he doesn't ruin any future chances at returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The actor spoke to Forbes about his new series, Kin, but the conversation soon turned to the persistent rumors that Cox will play Matt Murdock once again for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

“I don't really mind, I don't really tend to think about it that much," Cox said. "I'm just conscious of when I'm asked about it. I don't want to ruin anything for fans either way."

Rumors have long swirled that the actor would reprise his role as the Man Without Fear for the third MCU Spider-Man movie, but Cox has shot them down. But those rumors ramped up when the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer dropped and featured a person interrogating Peter Parker that many believed was Cox. Others pointed out that the mannerisms didn't match, and it was ultimately debunked when the IMAX trailer revealed the mystery figure to be the same Department of Damage Control agent that is with Peter in the rest of the scene.

But there is also a rumor that Daredevil will appear on She-Hulk, given that both characters are lawyers and often cross paths on the page. Again, Cox's lips are sealed.

“My answer is no comment; I don't know what's going to happen. I genuinely don't know," Cox said. "If there was a chance of that happening in the future, I don't want to say something that could potentially jeopardize those chances. The people high up at Marvel, maybe they see this stuff or they hear what I say or blah, blah, blah... maybe that influences it."

“I love how passionate the fans are and I feel very, very touched that so many of them have gone online and made their voices heard about their desire for me to come back and maybe in the future that might happen, and that would be great," Cox continued. "Who knows? We'll see."

For now, Cox is simply happy he got to play the character and inspired such fervor amongst fans, who are clearly eager to see him return to the role.

"It means a great deal," Cox said. "A lot of it is a relief because I felt that pressure when we were shooting the show. I realized how important this character is to so many people. I knew I just had one shot and I wanted to get that right and there's no way of guaranteeing that."
