The fast-approaching third season of Netflix's Daredevil is set to mark the debut of iconic villain Bullseye, one of Matt Murdock's most infamous adversaries. Actor Wilson Bethel will play the Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye when the show debuts later this month, and he teased a little about the character's arc in Season 3.

"Benjamin Poindexter will ultimately become Bullseye," Bethel said at New York Comic Con's Netflix/Daredevil panel before showrunner Erik Oleson walked across the stage and used a marker to draw a Bullseye symbol on the actor's forehead.

"Bullseye is only one of the greatest villains in the history of comics, period," Oleson added. "Telling the story of how a real person teetering on the edge of lightness and darkness could ultimately become that iconic character, and the aspects of fear, and how somebody like Wilson Fisk could turn [him] into this iconic villain," he continued, implying that the Kingpin would manipulate Benjamin Poindexter into becoming Bullseye. "We got to go really deeply into how Dex becomes this iconic character."

"It gets very, very weird," Bethel continued.

Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb, who was also in attendance, described the upcoming season as "an origin story" for Bullseye.

Arriving Friday, Oct. 19, on Netflix, Marvel’s Daredevil Season 3 stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Joanne Whaley, Vincent D’Onofrio and Wilson Bethel.
