WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Daredevil #30, by Chip Zdarsky, Marco Checchetto, Mike Hawthorne, Adriano di Benedetto, Marcio Menyz, and VC's Clayton Cowles, on sale now.

While Matt Murdock may have more pressing concerns as he remains imprisoned for an accidental manslaughter conviction, Daredevil's old enemies remain as active as ever and growing bolder while the Man Without Fear is locked away behind bars. While the New York City criminal underworld sees its own power shifts and infighting for control, Daredevil's most murderous nemesis has officially made their return and they've already built up quite the body count after returning to fighting strength: Bullseye. And as uncontrollable as ever, a rampaging Bullseye is bad news for anyone unfortunate enough to cross his path.

Bullseye was last seen on the loose as part of a makeshift team of supervillains hired by the scheming Stromwyn family of socialites to raze Hell's Kitchen and drive its residents out to make the real estate far easier to acquire for their own nefarious ends. Daredevil joined forces with Kingpin in a desperate alliance to drive the attackers out and defend their Manhattan neighborhood, with Bullseye knocked senseless and presumably incarcerated in the aftermath. However, Kingpin later revealed he had Bullseye kept in a secret lab under the Ravencroft Institute, pulling strings as Mayor of New York to conduct experiments on the supervillain and devise a way to make his lethal tendencies easier to command and control.

As Kingpin goes about his day, he is interrupted by a phone call by someone who appears to be Kingpin's main point of contact in Ravencroft. Instead of being the scientist in charge of the experiments, however, it's Bullseye who reveals he has singlehandedly massacred the entire laboratory's staff, and taunts Wilson Fisk that he is now free and evidently just as wild and untamed as he's always been. Kingpin is understandably enraged at the development as the rest of his staff quickly realize that one the Marvel Universe's most notorious serial killers is back on the hunt and he's got an ax to grind with the Kingpin, leaving none of them safe.

Bullseye has always been one of the most resilient supervillains in Daredevil's rogues gallery, recovering from the most grievous injuries and even death to make life a living hell for Matt. After being grievously injured in a particularly heated showdown with his rival, Bullseye received an adamantium stabilized spinal cord that gave him greater endurance than average humans. Following Bullseye's death at the hands of a demonically possessed Daredevil during the crossover event Shadowland, The Hand resurrected Bullseye and eventually restored him to full health, leaving the supervillain to remain one of the most twisted foes that Daredevil has ever encountered, often targeting those close to the street-level hero with lethal efficiency.

Usually forming a fragile partnership to take on their mutual enemy Daredevil, Bullseye and Fisk appear to be at each other's throats yet again, this time with Bullseye holding the upper hand as he has already begun slaughtering Kingpin's best and brightest minds as he makes his escape.

Kingpin had intended to use Bullseye as part of his renewed vendetta against Daredevil, but now, after being murderously humiliated by the serial killer, Bullseye may have just moved to the top of Wilson Fisk's hit list as Kingpin deals with the grave threat that has freed itself from his control.
