Murdock and North were trying to prove his current wife was innocent of the crimes she committed while under Mr. Fear's control.

While Matt was technically still married, the stress of the case and the long nights together drove them into each other's arms for a passionate night. The Kingpin later leaked photos proving this short-lived affair to discredit Murdock in his divorce proceedings.

Due to these secrets, Glorianna and Matt slowly grew apart. At a time when Matt was at his absolute lowest during the Born Again storyline, Glorianna broke up with him. Adding insult to injury, she started dating Matt's best friend Foggy Nelson. She later met a gruesome death at the hands of a forgettable killer, joining Murdock's long list of deceased girlfriends.

Kirsten McDuffie and Daredevil in Marvel Comics

As a district attorney in San Francisco, Kirsten always knew Matthew Murdock and Daredevil were one and the same — even if the vigilante would never admit it. Her playful nature made a good match for Matt Murdock and his swashbuckling personality.

Although often defined by darkness, much of Daredevil's history is quite lighthearted. In terms of romantic relationships, Kirsten McDuffie helps represent that lighter side. Their relationship ended after the Purple Children made everyone forget Daredevil's secret identity, which Murdock used as an opportunity to begin a fresh start in Hell's Kitchen again.

Echo is another vigilante who Daredevil developed a close relationship with in comics. A deaf woman of Native American descent, Maya was raised by Kingpin after the crime lord murdered her father. Although Kingpin sent Maya to hurt Matthew, she instead fell in love with him.

Once Maya figured out Daredevil and Matt Murdock were one and the same, the seasoned superhero explained to her exactly who Wilson Fisk was. This led her to turn on Kingpin and become a crimefighter herself. While their romantic relationship ended, Daredevil and Echo remained close friends until her death and rebirth as the Phoenix.

6 Matt Murdock And Claire Temple Had An Intense But Short-Lived Romance In The MCU

In the comics, Claire Temple is known as the Night Nurse, but she and Matthew Murdock have never been a thing. However, in the critically acclaimed Netflix show, the two shared pretty intense romantic feelings for one another. This was especially evidenced when the two shared their first kiss, a passionate demonstration of their pent-up romantic tension.

Daredevil flirts with Jen Walters in She-Hulk

While Matt Murdock and Jen Walters never dated in Marvel Comics, the MCU brought the two characters together in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode eight "Ribbit and Rip it." The episode was filled with comedic dialogue, a funny premise and some serious sparks of chemistry between Jen and Matt. Murdock and Walters are both prominent Marvel lawyers. It's surprising they haven't shared a relationship until now.

While Jen and She-Hulk have struggled to develop a positive romantic relationship in the series, it seems they found their match with Daredevil/Matt Murdock. Unfortunately, Matt returns to New York at the end of the episode, but fans are already calling for more scenes featuring the two. Hopefully She-Hulk can make a cameo appearance in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again Disney+ series.

1 Daredevil And Elektra Have A Long Romantic History

Daredevil and Elektra hold hands in What If?

Daredevil's most popular love interest is also his most controversial. Elektra has a history as a deadly assassin willing to kill anyone who gets in her way. As a hero with a no-kill policy, it's difficult for Daredevil to reconcile his feelings for Elektra in any kind of resolute way.

That being said, there are many other ways in which the two crimefighters seem perfect for one another. Their lives have both been defined by great loss and darkness. There are very few people who can truly understand what Daredevil has been through, and Elektra is one of them. Just as capable in combat as Matthew, Elektra and Daredevil make a great team.
