WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Daredevil #20, by Chip Zdarsky, Marco Checchetto, Mattia Iacono and VC's Clayton Cowles, on sale now.

At the start of Zdarsky and Checchetto's Daredevil run, Matt Murdock fell into a downward spiral after he accidentally killed a common street criminal. After this, Matt stopped operating as the Man Without Fear and he found himself questioning his path. Before long, however, he recognized his gifts were given to him by God to make a difference and he began training again to become better and more efficient than ever before.

Now, all-out war has come to Hell's Kitchen as the rich and powerful Stromwyn twins make a power play for control. With an army of supervillains storming the streets of his neighborhood, Matt was finally inspired to return as Daredevil. Daredevil #20 sees the newly-returned vigilante take the fight to the Kitchen's invaders -- and he shows how powerful he really is.

In Daredevil #19, an army of supervillains comprised of Crossbones, Bullseye, Stilt-Man, Rhino and Bullet attacked Hell's Kitchen as part of the Stromwyn twins' plan to make the neighborhood ripe for the taking. However, the people began to fight back and this in turn inspired Matt Murdock to put on his horned mask again.

Daredevil #20 picks up right where the previous issue left off: The Man Without Fear is back. He may not have the rest of his costume, but he doesn't need it. Right now, all that matters to him is keeping the people safe and taking out all of the villains as rapidly as possible.

Daredevil power

His first target is Stilt-Man, who is using his elongated legs to throw bombs at the buildings of Hell's Kitchen. Ever since the accident that led to the unfortunate death of a street thug, Daredevil has been going through training with Elektra to hone his super-senses and even surpass his fighting skills. This training proves to come in handy, as Matt wastes no time in taking out Stilt-Man with nothing but a knife and one of the villain's own bombs.

Soon, Daredevil finds himself surrounded by Bullseye, Crossbones, Bullet and Rhino. With nothing but his skills and billy clubs, Matt concentrates and pushes his abilities to the limit. He doesn't hesitate to strike for a single moment. For him, this is a dance and every single move is calculated. He's so in tune with his superpowers that he is able to predict every moment from his enemies before they happen.

He throws his clubs, steals Crossbone's knife, strikes left and right and systematically takes out these big villains one by one. He starts by taking out Bullet. Then, with a single leap, he takes the Rhino down. Better yet, he uses every bullet Bullseye fires at him against his opponents. He deflects them and strategically wounds Crossbones to take him out of the fight.

Then, Daredevil plants his feet, stands in place and uses his billy clubs to deflect every single shot Bullseye takes. He's so fast that he stops every bullet, doing his best Wonder Woman impression. However, while the Amazon Princess is akin to a god, Matt Murdock is just a man.

Finally, the cherry on top comes as Bullseye starts running away, scared. Matt throws his billy club into the air, only for it to come down on Bullseye's head yards away, in the background of the next panel. It's like Matt didn't even break a sweat while taking down three of the most dangerous villains in the Marvel Universe.

Just like that, the battle for Hell's Kitchen comes to an end and Daredevil stands victorious. It's a hell of a comeback for Matt Murdock -- pun intended.
