The second installment of Universal Pictures' Snow White and the Huntsman franchise is in the works, but expect some significant changes. According to Deadline, the studio is talks with Frank Darabont to helm a follow-up to the 2012 action fantasy that will focus on Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman rather than Kristen Stewart's Snow White.

The shift is so pronounced that the website contends Universal is referring to the film as a spinoff rather than a sequel. TheWrap adds that "Snow White" may even be dropped from the title.

The extent of Stewart's involvement isn't clear, but TheWrap suggests if she appears at all, it will likely only be in a cameo. Charlize Theron is expected to reprise her role as Ravenna, the evil queen.
