Danny Phantom was a cartoon that aired from 2004-2007. It was produced by Nickelodeon and was created by Butch Hartman, who also created The Fairly OddParents. With only three seasons, many fans believe that Danny Phantom when canceled before its time. However, the show makes up for it in high-quality episodes, featuring some great ghostly villains.

Danny Phantom began his ghost-hunting career at age 14 after being caught in one of his parents' ghostly experiments. That might seem rather young, but that's par for the course for teen superheroes. Every episode of Danny Phantom sees Danny and his friends, Sam and Tucker, going up against a slew of different ghosts and ghouls. Most of these ghosts don't put up much of a threat, but other ghosts are much more threatening.

10 Technus Has Potential To Be A Powerful Foe

Technus may be famous for his bad habit of loudly shouting out his plans for the whole world to hear. However, he can also be a fairly admirable foe when he puts his mind to it. Technus can control technology. This can be as innocent as possessing Mr. Lancer's razor, or it can be used to make himself a battle suit out of spare parts.

Unlike many of Danny's villains, Technus adapts and learns from his mistakes. He eventually reappears as Technus 2.0 and puts up more of a threat. Even if Danny beats Technus every time, he still causes him a significant amount of trouble and is a great enemy.

9 Skulker Is The Ghost Zone's Greatest Hunter

Skulker is one of Danny Phantom's most iconic enemies. He is an intelligent hunter who collects what he believes to be rare exhibits. With Danny being one of the few human-ghost hybrids in existence, Skulker has tried to capture him on numerous occasions.

Skulker is a very small ghost wearing a battle suit. However, this suit is equipped with weapons that give Skulker an edge. He produced several traps and weapons that captured Danny and canceled out his powers. He also used his ingenuity to steal Tucker's PDA and followed Danny's schedule to try to capture him. His master of different weaponry and skills as a hunter make Skulker a serious threat.

8 Ember Rocks The House

If Ember was smart, she would have stayed a rock star. "Remember" is catchy enough that she could have become pretty popular. However, that wasn't enough for her; she wanted to be a villain.

Ember can control the minds of anyone who listens to her music. They become obsessed with her and will do whatever she tells them to do. Ember gains more power as the crowds chant her name. Danny has gone up against her several times, even once being placed under a love spell by her. While Ember is a powerful foe, Danny was still able to defeat her every time.

7 Walker Has A Team Of Guards To Help Keep Order

Walker is the warden of the prison in the Ghost Zone. He is very strict and is a stickler for the rules. Danny first encounters Walker when a present from his dad to his mom accidentally gets lost in the Ghost Zone. When Danny goes in to retrieve it, Walker arrests him for possessing "contraband."

Walker has an entire prison full of guards who will follow his every command. Walker uses these forces to over-shadow people close to Danny. Eventually, Walker turns the whole town against Danny when he makes it look like Danny kidnaped the mayor. Because of this, Walker has caused lasting problems for Danny. Now, many of Amity Park's citizens no longer like him.

6 Desiree Fights Using Wishes

Desiree is a very tricky foe. She has the power to grant wishes. Unfortunately, when she grants the wish, she usually doesn't grant it the way the wisher intended. For instance, during a fight, Sam once wished that she had never met Danny. Desiree granted the wish, and Danny was no longer Danny Phantom.

Each wish that Desiree grants increases her power. This means that Danny can't just focus on the disasters left by the wishes, but he also has to deal with Desiree as she becomes more powerful. All these factors combined make her a very powerful villain.

5 The Fright Knight Makes For A Frightful Foe

Nothing good ever happens when Danny tries to cheat on an assignment. When Danny took the Fright Knight's sword, the Soul Shredder, and tried to use it to win a Halloween contest, it went disastrously wrong.

When the Fright Knight slices through someone with the sword, he sends them to a dimension where they see their worst fears. The Fright Knight is the servant of the Ghost King, Pariah Dark. Luckily, he changes sides at the end and helps seal him away. Were the Fright Knight to decide to attack Danny again, it would be a difficult fight.

4 Vlad Plasmius Is Danny Phantom's Archenemy

Vlad Masters was once a friend of Danny's parents. However, after an accident similar to Danny's, he too became a halfa known as Vlad Plasmius. Vlad has had a crush on Danny's mom for years, so he constantly tries to get her and Danny to come live with him. He even tried to create a clone of Danny that he could use to do his bidding.

Vlad is extremely intelligent and powerful thanks to having 20 years to perfect his ghostly abilities. Vlad will do just about anything to get his way — he even became Mayor of Amity Park.

3 Undergrowth Takes Protecting The Environment To New Levels

Undergrowth was angry with how humans were killing plants and destroying the environment. Unfortunately, his solution to this problem was to control the minds of Amity Park's citizens. To make matters worse, Undergrowth took a special interest in Sam and made her attack Danny. Not wanting to hurt his friend/crush, Danny didn't know what to do.

Luckily, at this same time, Danny also began to develop a new power over ice. Thanks to some training from Frostbite, Danny was able to master these new powers. However, if Danny hadn't received the ice powers when he did, he may not have been able to defeat Undergrowth at all.

2 Pariah Dark Is The Ghost King

Pariah Dark is the Ghost King and ruler of the Ghost Zone, though Nico di Angelo might have something to say about this title. Pariah Dark's possession of the Ring of Rage and Crown of Fire give him nearly limitless powers. Pariah Dark was imprisoned once before. Unfortunately, he escapes when Vlad tries to steal the ring and crown to make himself stronger.

Danny requires help from all of his ghostly allies to defeat Pariah. He also uses his dad's Ecto-Skeleton suit to give him a power boost, which nearly kills him. All of this combined allowed Danny to defeat the evil king, and bring order back to the Ghost Zone.

1 Danny Phantom's Strongest Foe Is Himself

Dark Danny is a Danny Phantom who has been turned evil after the death of his friends and family. He went to live with Vlad, who removed his ghost half to try to ease the pain of his loss. However, this backfires when the ghost Danny removes Vlad's ghost half and fuses with it, thus becoming Dark Danny. Sadly, Dark Danny's first evil act was murdering his human half.

In the future, Dark Danny is feared by humans and ghosts alike. Dark Danny tries to stop Danny from saving his friends and family, and with the same powers as Danny, he almost succeeds. It is only through sheer force of will, and the love of his friends and family, that Danny can stop him.
