In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Daniel Craig waved away rumors that he has a cameo in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." According to the James Bond actor, he won't be suiting up in a Stormtrooper costume, despite what Simon Pegg -- perhaps jokingly -- told the press in May.

“Why would I ever bother doing something like that?” said Craig. “Fucking hell! Pffft. Play an extra in another movie?”

Craig continued, getting a little more stern with his words. “Talk to Simon Pegg. He obviously knows way more than I do,” says Craig. “He’s just jealous because he’s not in Star Wars. He’s got some issue with J.J. I don’t know what the fuck it is. You need to talk to Simon about it.”

Of course Pegg actually is in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" playing an extra. This was confirmed by the behind-the-scenes featurette screened during "Star Wars'" panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego. In the clip, you can see Pegg sitting down and sweating it out in a massive alien suit.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" -- which Daniel Craig is not in -- opens on December 18.
