The Walking Dead and Black Panther actress Danai Gurira is being eyed for two more big franchises.

First reported by Deadline, Gurira, who is coming off Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, is currently in early talks for Godzilla vs. Kong, although details surrounding her potential role are currently unclear. At the same time, it's being reported that the in-demand actor is also being eyed for a role in Paramount's Star Trek 4, which is set to be helmed by former Jessica Jones director S.J. Clarkson, although it appears she hasn't officially entered talks for that project just yet.

Should a deal be made for Godzilla vs. Kong, Gurira would join Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown, as well as Deadpool 2 breakout Julian Dennison, in the film. That feature, which marks the fourth installment of New Line and Warner Bros.' planned cinematic universe, will be directed by Adam Wingard for a 2020 release.

As for Star Trek, while there are currently multiple Trek films in development at Paramount, Deadline affirms that Gurira is currently circling the forthcoming fourth installment. The upcoming installment is expected to bring back Kirk's father, played by fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe actor Chris Hemsworth, who was originally thought to have perished early on in 2009's Star Trek.
