Oscar-nominee Dan Aykroyd apparently watched Paul Feig's ("Spy") highly-anticipated "Ghosbusters" reboot this weekend -- and the Ray Stantz actor had nothing but good things to say about the film.

The "Ghostbusters" 1 & 2 writer/star sung his praises of the new film on Facebook:

Aykroyd -- whose cameo has been confirmed for Feig's "Ghostbusters" -- had previously sounded off with support of the film's all-female cast, and touted the film's script for hitting all the "right notes."

Directed by Feig, written by Katie Dippold ("Spy") and Feig, and starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, "Ghostbusters" is set to spook theaters July 15.
