With the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic leading to film release dates being pushed back, no new comics being shipped out, and conventions being postponed or cancelled, entertainment options are currently fairly limited. Enter Damon Lindelof.

The Watchmen showrunner has teamed with the site NextDraft to launch an original murder mystery, which will be serialized in chapters.

Lindelof's story, entitled Something Something Something Murder, will release chapters periodically on the NextDraft website. An official image for the story features four children staring up at the visage of Hilary Clinton, who sports a scarred visage and an eyepatch. So far, five chapters have been released, and each features a hilarious title; for example, the first is "I’ve Never Written A Short Story Before".

In addition to Watchmen, Lindelof was the co-creator and showrunner of Lost and The Leftovers, as well as writer for the screenplays for Prometheus, Tomorrowland, and Cowboys and Aliens.

NextDraft is a site created by the late Dave Pell, which produces ten new stories everyday. These stories often range from the surreal to the important, as Pell wanted to "find a signal in all the noise."
