WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Robin #5, on sale now from DC Comics.

When Damian Wayne was introduced, he did so as an overconfident and confrontational figure -- infamously attacking Tim Drake and leaving him for dead when the experienced Robin asked him to spar. But over the years, Damian has gained a deep awareness and appreciation for the other members of the Bat-Family and their skill-sets that allows him to respect them all. It also means that he has an edge over them if they were to ever come to blows, which they technically just did.

All that knowledge and experience comes in handy for Damian in Robin #5 (by Joshua Williamson, Gleb Melnikov, Luis Guerrero, and ALW's Troy Peteri), as a group consisting of Nightwing, Red Hood, Robin, and Spoiler all try to capture Damian for his own protection, only for his training and perspective to give the Son of Batman a serious edge.

Having more or less gone rogue from the Bat-Family, Damian has recently entered the deadly Lazarus Tournament. Fearing for his safety, Ravager calls in some of their shared allies to come and collect the young Wayne. However, Damian refuses to go peacefully. He only agrees to go back with the others if they can catch him, resulting in a rooftop race between the various Bat-Family members. Damian spends the rest of the issue effectively running circles around his allies, showcasing his speed and skills. Damian is able to distract Spoiler and Robin by bringing up their romantic history -- allowing him to move around them and tie their capes together, bringing them down in a heap.

Damian's high-wire race with Nightwing plays into Wayne's expectations of his former partner, allowing him to throw a well-placed Batarang that causes Dick to fall from the sky. The young Wayne is then cornered by Jason Todd, who holds him at gunpoint with tranquilizers. Oddly enough, Damian opens up and tells Jason that Grayson may be the most experienced of them all, Drake is the smartest, and Brown is the bravest. He continues by pointing out that Jason Todd is the most emotionally open of the bunch. He embraces Red Hood before taking advantage of the moment by shocking him with a taser.

Ultimately, only Dick Grayson is able to finally catch up to Damian by appealing to their time together as Batman and Robin. But that also means Dick has enough trust in his former partner to let Damian go and discover who he is for himself. It's an impressive showing from Damian, highlighting that of all the Robins, he may be the most capable when it comes to combat and cunning (thanks in part to his extensive training with the League of Assassins even before he joined up with the Bat-Family). Damian was able to run circles around Robin and Spoiler at the same time thanks to his training, and easily kept up with Nightwing mid-swing. Even before he brought down Jason by appealing to his heart, Damian was quick enough on his feet to dodge a hail of tranquilizers fired at him by Red Hood.

Damian may be the deadliest member of the Bat-Family outside of Orphan -- who Spoiler notes will be jealous of not being able to take part in the Lazarus Tournament. If nothing else, his victory in the rooftop race is a reminder of just how good of a thinker and fighter Damian really is.
