Dallas comic shop opens late in anticipation of same-sex marriage ruling

While it's always annoying to arrive at your local comic shop only to discover that they're closed during business hours, customers of Dallas store Red Pegasus Games & Comics are discovering today that sometimes there's a good reason for the inconvenience.

The following sign, posted on Reddit by user Ryno3639, apologized for the store opening a little late today due to some impromptu nuptials thanks to the Supreme Court's ruling today legalizing same-sex marriage at the national level. In conjunction with the ruling, the city of Dallas announced that it is waving the standard 72-hour waiting period this weekend for any same-sex couples wishing to take advantage of their newly recognized rights. The county records office has also increased hours, with employees working overtime to ensure that anyone who wants to be married this weekend will be accommodated.
