The Star Wars universe is, without a doubt, one of the most unique fantasy worlds in cinema. It's no wonder that fans constantly seek out new ways to immerse themselves in it. Visitors at Walt Disney World will soon get a chance to do just that in a new way.

A new hotel at Walt Disney World has been unveiled, and Star Wars fans will be given a first look at it at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. According to Ann Morrow Johnson, executive producer and creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering, the hotel is modeled after a ship called The Halcyon: "This is the starship that guests will get to sleep aboard when they join us for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser." Johnson then explained, "Guests will get to spend multiple days living on board this starcruiser, engaging with characters and having all kinds of exclusive on-board activities."

As some fans might have noticed, The Halcyon is part of the Chandrila Star Line, named after the homeworld of several well-known Star Wars characters like Ben Solo, aka Kylo Ren, and Mon Mothma, leader of the Rebellion. It's unknown whether or not these characters will be among those that guests will be able to interact with.

This new hotel isn't the only exciting announcement Star Wars fans can look forward to at D23. Disney promises a lot more to come, including new trailers and details for upcoming shows such as the live-action Disney+ series, The Mandalorian, Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and more.
