Cyclone's breakthrough role in Black Adam has made her more famous than ever. The granddaughter of the original Golden Age Red Tornado, Maxine Hunkell was sent to the Justice Society of America to learn how to use her powers from the best heroes of the past and present. She became a clutch member of the team, her cyclonic powers giving her great offensive and defensive abilities. She's not the most experienced hero, but she's quite powerful.

Cyclone is a formidable hero all on her own and she would prove it in battles against Marvel's best heroes. Many of the toughest and most well-known superheroes from Marvel Comics would fall before her powerful tornados.

10 Captain America Isn't Going To Be Able To Stand Up To Gale Force Winds

Captain America's rides his motorcycle in Marvel Comics

Captain America is Marvel's greatest role model, and a leader everyone looks up to. He's always on the front line of every battle, and even the strongest enemies fear him. Captain America has faced down a lot of foes over the years, including Whirlwind, so he's used to fighting someone like Cyclone. However, that wouldn't mean he could win.

Cap rarely fought Whirlwind on his own, which is going to give Cyclone the advantage. It's going to be very hard for him to get any offensive strike in against her. The same wouldn't be true of her, as she can catch him up in a powerful cyclone.

9 Noh-Varr's Adaptive Abilities Won't Save Him From Tornados

An image of comic art depicting Noh-Varr listening to music in Young Avengers comics

Noh-Varr is basically a genetically-engineered Kree cockroach. He can adapt to anything, and is uncannily strong and skilled. He's proved to be a rather dangerous opponent to everyone he's fought. It's hard to find one thing that can hurt him, but if there's one thing that can take Noh-Varr down, it's tornados.

Noh-Varr is a great soldier and if he could get a drop on Cyclone, he might have a chance. In a straight-up fight, though, he's all but beat. Cyclone can blast him with debris or powerful tornado bursts, both of which would overwhelm him.

8 Hulkling's Shapeshifting Ability Won't Make A Difference

Hulkling and Wiccan with the Kree Skrull Alliance

Hulkling is basically the Emperor of Outer Space, his Kree/Skrull heritage making him royalty over the two formerly warring races. The former Young Avenger's shapeshifting abilities, superhuman strength, and durability make him a fierce warrior, which he needs to be in his position. Hulkling is as tough as they come, but Cyclone has him beat.

Even with his massive strength advantage, Hulkling doesn't have a hope to beat her. He can fly, but his flight depends on wings grown by his shapeshifting powers. Cyclone is a master of wind, which would keep him grounded.

7 Spider-Woman Would Have A Spider's Chance In A Cyclone

An image of Marvel Comics' Spider-Woman, aka Jessica Drew, using her powers

Spider-Woman is a key Marvel B-lister. The former Avenger has been fighting evil for a long time, her super strength, agility, venom blasts, and gliding abilities making her a great hero in a fight. She's fought alongside the best heroes and faced threats that would freeze even the stoutest hearts. Cyclone wouldn't scare her, but she'd still lose.

Spider-Woman doesn't really have much she can do against Cyclone. Her venom blasts hurt but aren't extremely powerful, and her physical skills won't really matter. Her power to glide will be useless against someone who can control the winds.

6 Cyclops Doesn't Have Mobility To Stay Out Of Cyclone's Path

Cyclops is the most exemplary X-Man. He's the mutant Captain America, an amazing leader who everyone looks up to. Cyclops's optic blasts are devastatingly versatile, and he's practiced for years to master them. He's also sparred against a weather controller, so he has an idea of how Cyclone operates.

Cyclops has two problems in this fight. He'll almost certainly get a shot off on Cyclone, but won't take her down right away. The second is he's not mobile to stay out of her way once she cuts loose after getting tagged. Cyclops is good, but he won't survive when multiple F5 tornados are converging on him good.

5 Beast Is Getting Swept Off His Feet In The Worst Possible Way

Gorilla version of Beast wearing glasses in Marvel Comics

Beast has years of X-Men experience. He was part of the first class of the team and since then has been an Avenger, Defender, member of X-Factor, and the leader of X-Force. His super strength and agility, as well as his extreme intelligence, have made him a valuable member of every team he's been a part of. He's faced great threats, but Cyclone is definitely too much for him.

Beast is a skilled and experienced fighter, but his offense is extremely limited against someone like Cyclone. She has so many long range attacks that Beast has no defense against and no way to mount any kind of offense. Cyclone would pummel him with debris and winds.

4 Daredevil Punches Above His Weight Class Against Cyclone

Daredevil fights death angels in Marvel Comics

Daredevil is no stranger to brutality, and he punches way above his weight class. Daredevil has beat all kinds of enemies that seemed out of his league. However, nearly all of those fights were ones where his fighting skill and radar sense came into play. Daredevil isn't going to really have any chance to use those against Cyclone.

Daredevil can't really hang with someone who can throw F5 tornados around. He can't fly and depends on acrobatics and swinging around for movement, neither of which is going to help. He'll give it his all, but in the end, there's really nothing he could do to Cyclone to win the fight.

3 Hank Pym Can't Win Regardless Of His Size

Hank Pym holding Ultron's head in Marvel Comics

Hank Pym is a founding Avenger and has been through more costume identities and costumes than most heroes can imagine. His Pym particles allow him to grow and shrink, making him a bruiser in a fight and a great hero for infiltrating. However, neither of these powers are going to allow him to beat Cyclone.

If he shrinks, he's getting blown away or accidentally pulped by debris. If he grows, he's just a bigger, slower target. Either strategy is going to lead to a loss. It's doubtful he'd be able to get any offense in either way. Pym has experience and is a canny hero, but this is a fight he doesn't have a chance of winning.

2 Wolverine Doesn't Stand A Chance Against Cyclone

Marvel Comics' Wolverine grits his teeth and uses his claws

Wolverine is Marvel's master of violence, a hero who will go to any lengths to defeat his foes. Between his adamantium claws and skeleton, healing factor, and enhanced senses, Wolverine has proven more than able to beat any hero or villain put in front of him. Like other X-Men, he's had a lot of experience with someone who throw tornados, not that it will help him.

Wolverine is tough as nails, but he depends on getting close to his enemies for his offense. That's going to be impossible against Cyclone. She holds all the cards in this fight as her tornado powers give her offensive and defensive abilities that Wolverine can't match.

1 Spider-Man And Cyclones Don't Mix Well

Marvel Comics' Spider-Man in the pouring rain, drawn by John Romita Jr

Spider-Man is the everyman superhero, but he's also known for being amazing. His spectacular abilities have allowed him to spin a web that few enemies have broken out of. Peter Parker's super strength, agility, and spider-sense have kept him going through every conflict, and him web-shooters have allowed him unprecedented mobility.

Spider-Man has dealt with every kind of enemy imaginable, but Cyclone would be too much for him. Webslinging and tornados don't mix, he can't web her up, and his spider-sense can only keep him in front of her attacks for so long. He'll slow down or make a mistake, which will give Cyclone all the opportunity she needs to beat him.
