The promised February patch for the contentious game Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed for another month. The delayed update to the dystopian science fiction game was one of several updates promised by developer CD Projekt Red soon after the game's release.After a problematic launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has been receiving monthly patches to improve the gameplay experience. The next patch is now due in March. Cyberpunk 2077 was the much-anticipated follow-up to The Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red's biggest hit to date. Hailed as one of the best games of the last generation, The Witcher 3 collected an impressive amount of accolades, awards and fans. The source codes for both games were stolen in the recent cyber-attack and it's believed they were subsequently auctioned on the black market.

CD Projekt Red's latest release, Cyberpunk 2077, has experienced a wide range of controversies, much of it owing to the large number of bugs and technical issues present in the game. Though some controversies ranged from the game reportedly inducing seizures to the company admitting the release was unfit for certain consoles. CD Project Red apologized to its consumers for the poor quality that heavily contributed to the game's rocky launch. The apology, made by co-founder Marcin Iwiński, stated that the company is committed to fixing the bugs and crashes and hopes fans will stick by them as they release further updates and improvements.

Developed by CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC.
