The CW's reboot of Charmed has added a new witch as a series regular for Season 2, joining the existing trio of witchy protagonists.

Poppy Drayton has been cast as the mysterious witch Abigael, who is seeking refuge from powerful forces hunting in the series' primary setting of Hilltowne, Michigan. Injured and alone, the character is rescued by Macy in the season's third episode, "Be Careful What You Witch For."

Drayton was announced as joining the cast shortly before the season premiere earlier this month in a recurring role before being promoted to series regular. Prior to appearing on Charmed, Drayton had roles on The Shannara Chronicles and Downton Abbey.

The CW's reboot of the fan-favorite supernatural series Charmed premiered last year before receiving a second season renewal this past January. The series follows sisters Mel and Maggie meeting their older half-sister Macy after the tragic murder of their mother. Brought together, the trio discover they are witches tasked with protecting the world from the same evil that claimed their mother's life as they grow accustomed to their respective powers.

Charmed, starring Madeleine Mantock, Melonie Diaz, Sarah Jeffery, Rupert Evans, Valerie Cruz, Ser’Darius Blain and Ellen Tamaki, returns with all-new episodes Friday, Oct. 25 at 8 pm ET/PT.
