DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 officially has a premiere date.
According to Deadline, Legends of Tomorrow will return at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, following an episode of Arrow. Although details about the premiere are being kept under wraps at this time, the first episode of Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 will follow a special episode of the series tying into the upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover. That special episode will air on January 14, 2020, which is after the winter hiatus.
Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 will follow the events of "Crisis on Infinite Earths" and the titular team of time-travelers defeating Neron in Season 4 with the help of such heroes as John Constantine. Although the next season will introduce new heroes and villains to the Arrowverse, Brandon Routh, who has played Ray Palmer/The Atom on the show since it premiered in 2016, will depart Legends of Tomorrow in Season 5, though he'll play Kingdom Come Superman in the crossover. Courtney Ford -- who plays Nora Darhk -- will also leave the series.
Returning on January 21, 2020, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Brandon Routh, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan, Jes Macallan and Courtney Ford.
