The CW's Batwoman Season 3 added Nick Creegan to its cast in a key series regular role.

Deadline reported Creegan will play Marquis, a well-to-do playboy with something to prove. His character description reads, "Marquis is too charming for his own good and wields his power with a ne’er do well attitude. He views life as one big joke and that sense of recklessness has a tendency to clash horribly with his no-nonsense mother Jada Jet. When he meets Ryan (Javicia Leslie), he sees in her a like-minded young go-getter who like him is just waiting for the right opportunity to make his mark on Gotham."

A recent casting report for Batwoman Season 3 revealed Marquis has a hidden trauma from an encounter with one of Batman's rogues, leading him to "delight in the suffering and terror of others." His mother Jada Jet, the CEO of Jet Industries, is being played by Robin Givens and is described as a "passionate and hard working [woman] who has worked her way through life's ups and downs to climb her way to the top -- all while being extremely protective over her impetuous son."

Though unconfirmed, it's speculated Jade Jet is Ryan's biological mother, making Marquis the Scarlet Knight's brother. Season 2 ended with Alice, back in Arkham Asylum, telling Ryan her birth mom was alive all this time -- laying the foundation for her introduction when the series resumes airing in the fall.

Other newcomers in Season 3 include Victoria Cartagena as Renee Montoya, a former Gotham City police officer who left to escape the GCPD's rampant corruption. She is now in charge of the "freak divisions" and will have her hands full in Season 3 dealing with criminals old and new that emerge thanks to the Batman super-villain trophies that got dropped in the Gotham River at the end of Season 2.

Batwoman Season 3 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 13 on The CW. Most of the main cast will be back, save for Dougray Scott as Jacob Kane. Also gone is Wallis Day, who assumed the role of Kate Kane from Ruby Rose in Season 2 before the character formally passed the Bat-torch to Ryan and departed Gotham City in the hopes of learning what happened to her cousin Bruce Wayne.
